All hosting packages include one .uk domain name. .com, .net and .org domains are available for £5 extra/year.
Sites are hosted on our very own servers housed in a super fast data centre in Edinburgh. We aim to keep the load on the server as low as reasonably possible, giving very high performance hosting.
The server runs Apache with PHP on Fedora Core. Most common libraries such as GD2 and ImageMagick are installed and available. If there is a specific library you require, the chances are we will be able to install it for you.
All packages from Hosting 100 upwards come with AWStats statistics software which gives loads of useful information about the visitors to your site.
Virtual Servers
For those who have special requirements not covered by our shared hosting, we can now offer Linux Virtual Servers powered by OpenVZ, giving you greater flexibility.
Junk Mail Filter
By default all mail passing through the server goes through our basic spam filters. This cathes a large number of messages per day with an extremely low false-positive rate. If required the spam filter can be disabled for single email addresses or whole domains.
For customers who have a large junk mail problem, we are resellers for the fantastic Death2Spam service. We can offer this to all customers, whether they use our hoting services or not.
